Heart of a Coward About
Heart of a Coward, UK-based metal quintet, was founded in 2009, and published their first works through their EP, Dead Sea. Following this release, ex-Sylosis frontman Jamie Graham became the new vocalist for the group. Their debut full-length album Hope & Hindrance was released May 21, 2012, featuring several tracks from Dead Sea, along with seven brand new ones. They followed this record with two more LP’s: Severance on November 12, 2013, and Deliverance on October 2, 2015. However, it was announced in early 2017 that Graham would be departing from the band to pursue his own work and family. Over a year after the revelation of Graham’s departure, on March 25, 2018, a new single titled “Collapse” was released, showcasing the abilities of new vocalist Kaan Tasan, who is to remain with the band until further notice.
In terms of musical approach, Heart of a Coward seem to demand association with all kinds of metal, including metalcore, deathcore, progressive metal, and djent. As the band has developed through their projects, their songs have generally taken more familiar structure and shifted towards a more dynamic, mature sound, but sonic brutality is inescapable on any of their projects.
The band’s lineup as of March 28, 2018:
Kaan Tasan ~ lead vocalist
Carl Ayers ~ guitar
Steve Haycock ~ guitar
Vishal “V” Khetia ~ bass guitar
Christopher “Noddy” Mansbridge ~ drums
