Mar De Copas About


Mar de Copas is a Peruvian alternative rock band created in Lima in 1992. It was composed by Luis Garcia" Wicho "(vocalist), José Manuel Barrios" Manolo "(Guitar, voice and backing vocals), Eduardo Leverone" Toto "(Drums and percussion), Félix Torrealva (Bass), Phoebe Condos (Keyboard and backing vocals) and Claudia Salem (Backing vocals). Later, César Zamalloa would enter as bassist replacing Torrealva Claudia Salem would leave the group in 2005 to dedicate herself to her personal projects. Phoebe Condos would also leave the band only for a few months, being replaced by Rocío Madueño, but she finally returned to the group after a long period away for personal reasons.

Mar de Copas has configured a melodic and romantic guitar style, taking love and heartbreak, oblivion or loneliness as central themes of their songs.
