Side Brok About
Side Brok is a Norwegian hip-hop group from Ørsta. The name comes from a dialect expression that means "saw pants", and one also sees different dialect expressions in their texts.
The group consists of Sjef R / Thorstein Hyl III (Runar Gudnason) and Skatebård / Sirkel Sag.
The texts can often be described as a kind of hometown poetry as they are often about Hovdebygda and the surrounding villages. The duo originally debuted as a warm-up band for a Polish stripper in Ørsta. In 2003, they broke through with a self-titled EP. For the song "Ein likandes kar" they were nominated for Untouched of the Year by NRK P3 and Lydverket.
