FRANKIEONTHEGUITAR About

Francisco José Gaulter de Vasconcelos Baptista, Frankie Baptista or FRANKIEONTHEGUITAR as he is better known, is a Portuguese guitarist, musician and producer, born in Porto.

It is known that Frankie has been practicing guitar for at least 9 years. In 2016, he started posting guitar improvisations over Portuguese rap songs on his Instagram. He quickly received good feedback from Portuguese artists, and established contacts, starting to collaborate mainly with Bispo and following him on stage.

In mid-2017, he debuted on Lhast's single “Por Little” that brings together rapper Gson, with his guitar in the background. In the same year, Frankie launched one of his first projects entitled “good vibes”, with the collaboration of Gson, and which quickly gave him some visibility.

In the following years, he collaborated with national artists such as Jimmy P, Piruka and Kappa Jotta, but it was in 2019 that Frankie catapulted his career, collaborating on several of Bispo's projects, such as the single “Essa Saia”, and on some tracks on the Oldest album.

In 2019, he is invited by American producers Taz Taylor and Cxdy to join the American label Internet Money Records and produces Trippie Redd's “Love Sick”.

In 2020, he releases the first advance of his solo album, entitled “Tempo” which brings together Bispo, LON3R JOHNY and Tóy Tóy T-Rex and which, in 2 months, reaches the status of gold single and later platinum and double platinum status.
